Our Vision
What’s an expedition to you?
To us, it’s an adventure with intention. Every expedition has a purpose. The most rewarding journeys involve a challenge to overcome - something to discover, a goal to pursue, or a chance to make an impact. It has been my dream for nearly a decade now to start a collective of like-minded people who feel a drive to get out into the world and explore what's still out there to be seen. As an avid explorer, I found that my best trips were the trips in which I had a specific goal in mind or challenge to overcome.
At Expedition Nexus, we want to inspire those seeking a similar challenge by providing the opportunity to pursue their passion with the means to take action. With a growing network of global professionals, we aim to empower local communities through the guidance of their regional expertise across disciplines.
Our Expertise
Here at Expedition Nexus expertise isn’t built in classrooms or boardroomsit’s been tested in the field. I’m Michael Lodge, founder and former humanitarian leader, anthropologist, and Marine Corps veteran. I’ve spent my life answering the call to keep exploring. From camel treks through the Sahara and jungle expeditions in the Amazon, to climbing through the Andes, Atlas, Rockies, and Pyrenees mountains, I’ve led teams across extreme environments, studied ancient ruins, and conducted river research spanning continents.
Every expedition, every challenge, every sunrise has taught me how to better plan, lead, and execute field missions. Our platform is built for explorers, scientists, and innovators who crave hands-on experience, want to step into the field, and get experience in real-world settings.
As George Mallory said, “The greatest danger in life is not to take the adventure.” That is the heartbeat of Expedition Nexus.
